The Blast effect creates a directional random displacement in your artwork. Think of it as a way to shatter or shake your artwork in a particular direction. The effect will be more pronounced if you have a large number of points in your selected shape.
The Angle slider lets you decide which direction to blast away in. As you move the slider, you'll notice feedback in the preview image that will help you accurately position the direction.
The Distance slider lets you set the maximum displacement, in whatever units your document's ruler is currently set to.
